Born in 1973, Huerfanita--or "Huerfy," as her keepers call her--is friendly and good-natured. She has a long, thin face and small brow ridge. Huerfanita is "aunt" to many of the young gorillas at the Bronx Zoo.

Huerfanita's nose is very flat.
