Assists Wheaton Revitalization IsoDynamic creates Web site highlighting
the redevelopment of downtown Wheaton, Maryland
Silver Spring, Maryland
October 9, 2001 -- IsoDynamic, developers of e-learning
content and custom Web sites, today
announced the launch of www.WheatonMD.org, a site highlighting the
redevelopment of Wheaton, Maryland.
Real estate developers and
Wheaton residents have high expectations for the redevelopment of
downtown Wheaton, where over $250 million in public and private
development has been identified, including the proposed $80 million
development over the Wheaton Metro Station.
David Weaver, spokesman
for Montgomery County Executive Douglas M. Duncan, dubbed the proposed
development "smart growth" and said the Wheaton Metro
station project will make a handsome addition to the community.
"Wheaton has tremendous future potential," Weaver
said. "The transportation infrastructure can accommodate additional
growth. It has the capacity for more housing, retail, and offices."
IsoDynamic was tapped to create a Web site that
will begin tracking the progress of the redevelopment and inform
residents and visitors of the numerous benefits of Wheaton. "We
are based just outside of downtown Wheaton, and we were very excited
to be given the opportunity to help our community" said Kraig
Robson, President of IsoDynamic. "With Discovery Communications
building its world headquarters in nearby Silver Spring, I see Wheaton
as having enormous potential for complementary high tech businesses
like ours".
