"Wake-Up Exhibit" Planned for April 9-11 e-learning Conference
& Expo IsoDynamic featuring games and coffee
treats designed to wake up attendees at April 9 - 11 e-learning
Conference & Expo, Washington, D.C.
Silver Spring, Maryland
- April 3, 2002 -- IsoDynamic, custom
developers of dynamic e-learning courseware designed to keep people
awake, announced today that in its exhibit at the April 9 - 11 e-learning
Expo, it will be offering gourmet coffee treats to attendees who
can successfully dress "the farmer's wife". She is one
of seven residents of Colonial Williamsburg featured in "Dress
the Part", an online game in the "A Day in the Life",
a virtual field trip developed by IsoDynamic for the award-winning
educational Web site, bigchalk.com. Visitors will be able to see
two other samples from IsoDynamic's portfolio of engaging on-line
learning experiences: an interactive sales and training tool developed
for Sprint Small Business representatives, and the "Apple as
Earth" animation developed for the Web site of American Farmland
Trust.
"The more we involve
the learner, the more he or she absorbs and retains the information,"
said Kraig Robson, President of IsoDynamic. "This applies to
learners from ages two to 92! It's why we create e-learning experiences
that are rich in interactivity and simulation. A picture really
is worth a thousand words, so we make abundant use of visual metaphors
to represent complex concepts-even technical concepts."
IsoDynamic developed two
other interactive field trips for bigchalk in addition to "A
Day in the Life": "Sounds of History", based on content
from Smithsonian Folkways, and "Congo Gorilla Forest",
based on content from The Bronx Zoo. After introducing these field
trips, bigchalk received the prestigious 2001 Codie Award as "Best
Educational Web Site for Kids". bigchalk's Web site is currently
receiving more than one million unique visitors per month.
The Sprint sales training
tool is rich in imagery, doubling as a training and customer presentation
device. It features a dynamic program path that is determined by
the sales representative, as the prospect is qualified. The "Apple
as Earth" animation is a four-minute "knowledge nugget"
on American Farmland Trust's Web site, depicting a demonstration
formerly done by hand. "It's a shining example of IsoDynamic's
ability to visualize a concept and bring it to life via animation",
said Robson, "creating an effective but low-cost means of distributing
the client's message".
IsoDynamic will be in booth
1129 at the show. For more information, see "Events" under
