to Present at Advanced Distributed Learning’s “Plugfest
6”
IsoDynamic to present “Best in
Class” e-learning content in live Webcast from
Defense Acquisition University in Fort Belvoir, VA

- July 29, 2002 -- IsoDynamic, custom
developers of dynamic and engaging e-learning courseware, announced
today that they will be presenting “Best in Class” content
at The Advanced Distributed Learning’s (ADL) Plugfest 6, held
on the campus of the Defense Acquisition University (DAU) in Fort
Belvoir, Virginia, from July 30 to August 1, 2002. Plugfest 6 seeks
to bring e-learning organizations and experts together to refine
e-learning practices, procedures and standards.
IsoDynamic will demonstrate
“Congo Gorilla Forest”, a “virtual field trip”
hosted on bigchalk.com and featuring content from the Wildlife Conservation
Society (Bronx Zoo). The project was a collaboration between bigchalk,
the Lightbeam Group, Thunderwave, the Wildlife Conservation Society,
and IsoDynamic, and features interactive activities to help students
learn about the Gorillas of Africa’s Congo River Basin. Bigchalk’s
Web site is currently receiving more than one million unique visitors
per month, and received the prestigious 2001 Codie Award as "Best
Educational Web Site for Kids".
“Our intent is to demonstrate engaging content
that will contribute to the discussion of how to create e-learning
standards that work for all types of learning material,” said
Kraig Robson, President of IsoDynamic. “We developed this
material for delivery in a custom Web environment, and now we have
dedicated ourselves to converting it to comply with the latest e-learning
standards. This will allow these types of courses to run on any
standards-compliant learning management system (LMS). That means
even if you change your LMS, you can still use the content you’ve
already developed”.
